Quick Encouragement from "Believe Bigger" + Conversation with Caleb Pierce from Makers Coffee Co.

Hey everyone! At the beginning of this podcast, we have a quick chat about a book called, "Believe Bigger" by Marshawn Evans Daniels. It's so good! I should be finished with the whole book by the time this podcast airs, but a story she shared in the book, I wanted to share with you to encourage you in your walk with Christ today. With Christ, each day we get has meaning and purpose... So let's do what we do for the Lord! If you want to, buy the book or see if you can check it out at your local library. Am I Unashamed?

Very thankful for our guests and how they share what God has on their hearts in our previous episodes. What they are sharing is changing my life to discern what is the will of God. I am definitely not perfect, but God using my friends to show me how to be more like Him.

God's Timing with Tracee Smoak

This week with Tracee Smoak is encouraging, inspiring, and God-focused. I am so grateful for Tracee's time and for sharing what God has in her heart! She shares how she is currently in a season of transition and she gives God all the glory for putting everything together. Tracee talks about how timing for all things is from Jesus.
One of the scriptures she says is helping her out in this season is Isaiah 26:3 NIV which reads: "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
The other scriptures she shares that are her life verses are also from Isaiah. And it is Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV. She read this on the podcast and I'd like to share the whole thing with you, in hopes to point you to Jesus! This passage is talking about the year of the Lord's favor:
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,    because the Lord has anointed me    to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,    to proclaim freedom for the captives    and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor    and the day of vengeance of our God,to comfort all who mourn,    and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty    instead of ashes,the oil of joy    instead of mourning,and a garment of praise    instead of a spirit of despair.They will be called oaks of righteousness,    a planting of the Lord    for the display of his splendor."

Unapologetically Showing the Love of Christ with The Perry Co Boutique

Kassie Perry is the owner, operator, and founder of The Perry Co. Boutique in Lake Placid, Florida. And boyyyyyy does she have an exciting message for you today! Kassie and her husband started The Perry Co Boutique last year... What a year to open up a small business in a brick-and-mortar! 
But here's where God uses this situation for His glory!! Kassie tells us that she prayed for God's will for her life for a year before she saw her store as an option. She said she loved her job at the time but she was praying specifically for God's will, to do something that would glorify Him, and to do kingdom work. What encouragement!
Kassie talked a lot about seeking God's kingdom first and making that a priority before starting something new.
She also said before the boutique opened, she and her family got together in the store and prayed, asking God for His presence to be in the store.
Thank you Kassie for this encouragement to seek God first. You are such an encouragement to me!!
She also talked about working for the Lord. She recommends while working to have a mindset that you are helping others while working for the Lord. Amen sister! This can be applied in all things! Great stuff.
God's word asks us to look to the interests of others (Philippians 2:4) ... so while we are working let's be helpful! She also encourages us to do what we do for Jesus! Colossians 3:23 in the New Life Version (NLV) version reads: "Whatever work you do, do it with all your heart. Do it for the Lord and not for men."

Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida with Ashley Gillis

Ashley Gillis works as the Community Relations Manager for the Ronald McDonald House of Northwest Florida. She tells us about the mission of this awesome organization and she also talks to us about an in-person and virtual race they are having this summer to raise money for their site in Pensacola. Awesome!!!! Right!?
Ashley tells us they service families from Pensacola to Panama City Beach at her office. She also explains that the Ronald McDonald House is a global organization. Loved hearing how other countries are also involved with this great organization. 
Ashley brings us two scriptures that are helping her in this season. Those are from Proverbs and Mark. Check them out below!
Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Mark 12:30-31 NIV: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
