Tuesday Jan 12, 2021
Tuesday Jan 12, 2021
This week we are diving into two topics to get you closer to Jesus, living for Him in 2021.
In the first part of the podcast, we talk with Krista Germeil. She and her husband Marc Donald run a formula program in Jeremie, Haiti. The program provides the child's formula and healthcare. The sponsorships are provided on an annual basis, so if you are interested in helping one of the children in their program know that it is an annual commitment. Please reach out to them for more information and if you would like to join them with financial support. Of course, your prayers also mean so much to their mission, so feel free to only support them in that way, if you feel lead.

Training up a Child with Mrs. Shannon
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
Tuesday Dec 15, 2020
We have a special bonus recording with author Sarah Sandel in front of this week's interview. Sarah reads day 15 in her Advent study which you can download for free on her Instagram page, here: https://www.instagram.com/stsandel/
If you have been reading through her Advent study (podcast #45) you know today's reading is about joy... So, enjoy! :) (Thanks Sarah!)
After Sarah reads day 15 -- We get to hear from the Founder and Executive Director of the House of Prayer Learning Center, Mrs. Shannon. She tells us about the power prayer has over our children. She also encourages us to put up scripture in our kids rooms (and our rooms) to encourage them into what God is calling them into.
Mrs. Shannon shares this scripture -- "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)
I love how Mrs. Shannon leads by example! She is a gift from God and friends... I pray you enjoy hearing what God has on her heart!
Be encouraged by both of my sisters in Christ, sharing what God has put on their hearts in this week's episode! All for God's gain and glory!

Active Discipleship with Sarah Whitfield
Tuesday Dec 08, 2020
Tuesday Dec 08, 2020
Life can be hard, difficult, and challenging, but as Sarah Whitfield puts it... Everything is not always rainbows, but it is an opportunity for God to win and get the glory.
Sarah breaks down discipleship and why we need it. She tells us how her church is building up disciples.
She says how having someone come into her life to hold her accountable has challenged her in ways she never imagined. This podcast really challenged me to reach out to a friend (who is like a Paul in my life) and ask her to not only pray for me but hold me accountable to the work God wants to do in my life, for His glory. Thank you, Sarah!
She shares 2 Timothy 1:7 which says "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." She also shares her devotional that talks about surrendering everything to God through the process as you are becoming fully developed for what He has called you to do.
I pray you to enjoy the process and know God has a purpose in your process. You are called to serve Him, and have hope for His kingdom, in whatever you do.

Thank you Sarah for your time and for sharing what God has on your heart!

Advent with Writer and Friend, Sarah Sandel
Tuesday Dec 01, 2020
Tuesday Dec 01, 2020
Advent started on Nov. 29th of this year. However, when Sarah Sandel wrote her book called, Advent, in 2019, it started on December 1st, 2019. So this year as we dive into the same book she wrote last year, we will start on Dec. 1, 2020, because that is how the calendar is written in her book, so here we go!
Let's read Advent together (if you'd like to) and I look forward to hearing how it goes for everyone.
Let's keep Sarah Sandel's Instagram as our hub for communication and do this reading together.
Let Sarah know how God is working on your heart through reading... If you want... @stsandel and we also have a podcast Instagram @broadcasthislove.
Let us know how God is working on your heart through reading her book in this season if you decide to do so. Having a community is so special, so know you have one here. :)

She talks about Psalm 61:1-2 which says: "Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I"
She also talks about Isaiah 9:2 "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned."
She reads Psalm 16:6-9 which says: "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,"
And she also shares her love for Colossians 1:15-20 how this scripture has held her this year. "The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross."

From World Champion Waterskier to Nationwide Prison Ministry
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Tuesday Nov 17, 2020
Kristi Overton Johnson started waterskiing professionally when she was a young child. She continued on for years later becoming a professional waterskier and even a world champion water skier. She competed all around the world, including Australia! So awesome!
She said she always knew God but didn't understand the relationship with Him very well. But God got ahold of her heart in the most awesome way when she went through a few serious medical issues followed by several surgeries.
In the podcast, she tells us that’s when she took a line she had used for years to tell the person who was driving the boat while she skied behind: "Hit it!" She said when she would yell “Hit it!” to the boat driver, then the driver knew she was ready to ski and get off the dock.
I love this! The same has been true in her walk with Jesus. She said "Hit it!" to Jesus and her life of loving Him has been one wild ride that she never dreamed of.Now, Kristi speaks all around the nation in prisons and has a magazine that she founded and published that gets distributed in prisons. She tells us it doesn’t cost the prisons anything to have these magazines in their prison. If you or someone you know would like to have Victorious Living magazine in their area prison contact the team at the magazine in the link below for Victorious Living.
To me, this story is crazy. But I have learned sometimes, that’s just how God works. Id never imagine Kristi having a prison ministry... Nationwide for that matter! God can do what we see as impossible and make it possible.
Also, Kristi shared Revelation 12:11 -- "And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die."
Let's overcome with Jesus!!
Here's a great worship song with this verse in it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8AB0vUU038
Also, we talked about Ephesians 3:14-21 ESV "For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, ..."

Tuesday Nov 10, 2020
Business Boutique is an awesome women's conference in Nashville that I highly recommend! This year, I wasn't able to go but my friend (and my neighbor's friend) Kylie Amanda did go and she tells us her favorite parts of what she learned.
No matter your position in work, life, whatever... Let's get motivated and use our gifts for Jesus!
Thanks, Kylie for the info!

Please show her some love with a follow, comment, and share!
In the podcast, she shares her favorite verse that is helping her in this season and she tells us about how Luke 12:2-3 has played an impact.
"The time is coming when everything that is covered up will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!" Luke 12:2-3 NLT
How to Connect With Customers and Increase Sales: https://www.entreleadership.com/blog/connect-customers-increase-sales
Also, we talked about Colossians 3:15-17 at the end to encourage you in your journey to seek peace, be thankful, and to do it all for God's glory: "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ... And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
It's just an awesome scripture that really pumps me up and I pray it encourages you!
Also, the book we talked about (which is a Kathryn Daniel recommendation is) called, "Who Moved My Cheese? : An A-Mazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life."
